VIII | ANTIDOTE is a conceptual nod to the ever-present tension between rebellion and conformity, as it pertains to our hyper-connected world and the delicate line between image and reality. The collection is comprised of garment sets created using fabrics both expected and un-, with the first-ever inclusion of three pieces in white.
Driven by the truth that reached critical mass through personal introspection as the order has developed, antidote is an exploration of designer Nicole Maret’s creative instinct as opposed to surrendering to outside influence and the pressure we experience as digital privacy becomes more obscure.
Silks and suedes collide with vinyls and mesh in combinations both ideal and absurd for everyday wear, consciously remedying the common trend. Punctuated with layered gunmetal safety pins, hand-embroidered leather and hand- stamped logos, each piece is both delicately and ostensibly branded as THE ORDER.
